Yes I know about openoffice but is there anything else? I'm really just wondering if there is a free stand alone word processor.
On Windows there is IBM Lotus Symphony which among other things is OpenOffice with accessibility included.
There used to be a program called jotter, I'm not sure if it still exist but it was a very nice and extremely accessible WP.
IBM Lotus Symphony is what I use, and most of it works great for me. *smile* The word processor is very accessible, and the spreadsheet also seems as accessible as that. But I'm not sure how accessible the presentations program would be; I use NVDA and can't do much with it (plus me rarely using it in the first place), but it may be more accessible with other screenreaders. I use the word processor a lot though, and it feels pretty much like using Microsoft Word.
I'm curious about the other program mentioned in an above post so will go check that one out. *smile*
I use Jarte. it is a standalone word processor without the spread sheet program or the powerpoint. it's awesome. it's like a hybrid between word pad and MS word.
Then there is also Atlantis word processor, also a very cool one. I dont' know if it exists anymore.
So does lotus symphony have a database like openoffice? Not that I desperately need one but it would help for work.
